Simplify Your Health

Midlife can be an awakening if you change your mindset towards it. It can be a recalibration. See this point in your life as a fresh start, a new beginning.

Ditch the old bad habits that you know haven't been working for you (but you keep doing them!) and recreate your new midlife.

You CAN change, you can feel good, you can lose weight, you can get strong, you can change your job!

You can be and do anything you want to. You just need to want it bad enough!

Yes you are having bodily changes and you can't remember what you did an hour ago, but let's see what positives we can pull out of the bag.

In midlife your hormones shift, your recovery changes, and your body becomes more sensitive to stress, sleep, alcohol and food

The good news? Your body responds brilliantly to simplicity.

Life is so busy and the overwhelm is real. I get it.

That's why I am a massive believer in small consistent change, not the big ones that are simply not achievable and make you feel rubbish when you fall down. Which you will, inevitably.

When you strip away the noise and focus on the basics, everything feels easier — energy, digestion, mood, motivation.

Small, consistent habit changes beat complicated routines every time. And they will build up over time and become part of your life without you even realising it.

Read through all of my posts this week to get more detailed top tips, but here are my five simple health habits you can start today that create real change without overwhelm:

- Watch Your Stress — Do something that brings your stress down every single day. It can be anything that works for you.

- Eat Regular Meals — Skipping meals spikes stress hormones; steady eating keeps you calm and energised.

- Prioritise Protein — Helps with muscle, metabolism, and cravings.

- Stop eating at 6.30pm— Regulates your sleep, mood, and energy.

- Move Daily — Doesn’t need to be a workout; walking counts. 10,000 steps every day  Read my Simplify your exercise post
